With a penchant for cake, blood, milk, gemstones, and unusual rhythm, Miss Ruby Lamb has been performing in Austin for 12 years. She has danced unusual dances for events such as Houston’s S&M Ball, Dragmaster, Monsterpansy, Erotic Carnival, Extravagasm and Dead Sullivan. She has modeled for the camera and runway for Sacred Heart Rubber, Forbidden Fruit, Fey Lingerie, Dr. Sketchy’s and various fetish photographers. Recently, Ruby has been collaborating with the girls of Red Light Burlesque. Ruby’s words have guided models through fashion shows and her spoken word and video art pieces were part of Austin’s Gay Pride Festival and the opening of what is now the Jones Center for the Arts. Ruby joined Squad 666 in 2001, and her initiation was captured by The Learning Channel for their “Weird Worlds” series. She is probably best known as a member of The Satan’s Cheerleaders, appearing in publications such as Bizarre magazine and touring Texas on a regular basis. Ruby produced The Devil’s Backbone at Emo’s and The Rubber Jennefit at The Ritz: two successful benefits. Murder and the Art of Dance is her ugly, beautiful baby. She is thrilled to work with such a wonderful band and cast and hopes to instill the spirit of art and dance in the audience. |
